One faces a dilemma with Disano's penne pasta. If it is not cooked for more than 10 minutes, one sees the uncooked white middle of the penne and if it is cooked for more than 10 minutes, more than 20% of the penne shreds vertically. I wonder why the gluten is not holding it together.

I recently switched to Wheat Penne Pasta, and I’m genuinely impressed with the balance between health and taste. It’s a great option if you're trying to avoid maida and want to enjoy pasta without guilt. Made primarily with whole wheat flour and suji (semolina) – it feels like a cleaner, more natural choice. It’s higher in fiber compared to maida pasta and keeps you full for longer. The penne pieces are medium-sized and cook well without turning mushy. The texture is firm and slightly grainy, which actually holds sauces better and gives a nice bite. It has a natural light brown to beige color, unlike the usual bright white maida pasta. You can tell it's made from whole grains just by looking at it. Slightly nutty and earthy, not bland at all. It absorbs flavors beautifully and tastes great in both light and spicy sauces. Once you get used to it, you won’t miss maida pasta!
