Puliyogare is the most iconic South Indian dish and is a favourite for
Sunday lunch. Puliyogare is also known as tamarind rice in English. It is
traditionally made using steamed or boiled rice mixed with tamarind juice, groundnuts
or peanuts, coriander, coconut, red chilli, curry leaves, jaggery, pepper,
