Himalayan Pink salt is rock crystals of salt, that have been mined from areas close to the Himalayas, often in Pakistan. It gets its rosy hue from trace minerals in the salt, like magnesium, potassium, iron and calcium. Owing to this, it is slightly lower in sodium than regular table salt and is best for people with blood pressure issues. You can use this salt and common table salt in the same way: As part of cooking, to season meals, and to preserve food.
