It was found to be much powdery, normally it is more in granular/crystalline form.

If you like your food flavor to be balanced with umami, then this is the right choice. I use it in eggs and chinese cuisine and it makes for a perfect flavoring agent. You don't need to add table salt if you use this. Please note the old 90s fear mongering news around MSG being cancerous has been debunked a long time ago. MSG is safe when used in recommended proportions.
