Though millet is a great replacement for rice it seems to have fallen out of favor. I eat it because my grandmom made it a lot - but most people I run into haven't had it before. Always soak your millet about 30 minutes then drain in a fine mesh sieve before cooking. Use it as a great side dish, or cook with more water and longer to make a hot porridge for breakfast - adding your cream and fruit. Millet has great health benefits like high fiber, protein, magnesium, calcium, iron and antioxidants. First time using this brand, but it cooked up light and fluffy and with a mild taste.

I have ordered this product couple of times, each time it arrived next day. The packaging was beautifully done, and the bag was inside another cellphone bag, so even if it was left outside the contents would not get wet. I love the product and shall definitely buy again.

We’ve had this two ways so far: plain and mixed with rice. I’ve got plans to make a tabbouleh later this week. This millet's been great in every dish I've thrown it in so far. It cooks up fluffy, with clean, separate grains that hold their shape, in both my pressure cooker and my cheap-o rice cooker (the kind with exactly two buttons: “Cook” and “Warm”). I’ve bought millet before, and this one’s noticeably better than the last brand we tried a few months ago. The texture’s light and it doesn’t clump up. I also appreciate that it’s organic. That makes the price easier to swallow. (See what I did there?) The flavor’s mild but not bland. It plays well with other grains, and I’m pretty sure it’s going to end up mixed into my oat groats at some point for both sweet and savory dishes. It could really go either way. I’m also planning to use it in a wild and red rice pilaf with lentils. I’d cook it separately though. It doesn’t have the same time or water requirements as the wild or red rice, and I’m not trying to turn it into paste.

My pediatrician recommended finger millet as a first food for my baby, and it's been a lifesaver! The seeds grind easily into a smooth consistency, and my little one loves the mild, slightly sweet flavor. Plus, it's packed with essential nutrients to support healthy growth.

The result was a fluffy, slightly chewy grain with a nutty flavor. It was the perfect base for a variety of dishes. I've used it in pilafs, salads, and even as a breakfast porridge. The possibilities are endless!

*Ragi for a Flatbread Twist* While finger millet rotis might be a bit denser than wheat rotis, they have a satisfying chewiness that I've grown to appreciate. The key is finding the right balance of water to flour to achieve the desired texture. It's a fun way to add variety to your roti repertoire!

*Finger Millet Seeds: A tiny powerhouse for big flavor* These tiny finger millet seeds might not look like much, but they pack a serious nutritional punch! They have a slightly earthy flavor that adds depth to curries, salads, and even breakfast bowls. I love to toast them before using for an extra nutty crunch. While grinding your own flour is an option, these seeds are perfect for adding whole grain goodness to any dish.
